Two Fellowship Paths. One Standard of Excellence

Our organization serves martial artists from a wide range of backgrounds. During the application process, you’ll be invited to indicate the fellowship path that best aligns with your convictions.

Christian Black Belt Association (CBBA)

Fellowship grounded in martial excellence and Christian conviction, for those who affirm the CBBA Statement of Faith.

Shiho Karano Kai Association (SKKI)

Fellowship rooted in mutual respect and martial excellence for those of any or no religious affiliation.

Both paths operate within the same organizational structure and uphold the same standards of integrity and quality martial arts.

Divisions That Honor Lineage & Tradition

Rank advancement and technical evaluation are handled through divisions aligned with the traditional origins of each art.

Japanese Division

Karate, Ju Jitsu, Judo, Aikido, Kendo, and related arts

Korean Division

Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, Hapkido, and related systems

Chinese Division

Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Wing Chun, Ba Qua, and related arts

Each division oversees rank requests and advancement within its respective traditions.

How Membership Works

Complete the Membership Application
Indicate CBBA or SKKI interest and Division interest
Pay for the Membership ($30 the first year, $15 per year after that)
Engage in fellowship, advancement, and regional/national events

What You Pass On to Your Students Matters

Martial arts instruction is about more than personal progress—it’s about the responsibility of guiding others well. Without legitimate structure, shared standards, and broader community, even dedicated instructors can find it difficult to fully support their students beyond the walls of their own school.
